Why I Don’t Offer Live Readings

Sep 25, 2026

One of the questions I get from time to time is whether I offer live personal readings.

The answer is no.

And it isn't because I believe there is anything wrong with live readings. There are incredible readers who work beautifully in that environment. It simply isn't how my abilities work at their best.

I know myself. I know my energy. And most importantly, I know how I connect with Spirit.

When I sit down with a client's energy, I don't want to rush.

I don't want a clock in the back of my mind telling me that I have a certain amount of time to connect, pull cards, interpret what I am feeling, receive the message, and move on to the next thing.

That isn't how I work.

I would rather sit with your reading. I would rather slow down. I would rather give myself the space to completely focus on your energy, the energy surrounding you, and the energy of your specific person when the reading involves someone else.

My work is highly empathic and intuitive. I need silence. I need focus. I need to be able to enter my own space and channel without feeling rushed.

I want to give my clients the best of me.

And the best of me comes forward when I am allowed to completely enter that channeling energy.

There Is A Process Before I Ever Press Record

When you receive your reading, you're seeing the finished experience. What you don't see is everything I do before I begin.

Sound is a huge part of my spiritual practice. I am a songwriter at heart, so I have always felt deeply connected to frequency and sound.

Before client work, I use tuning forks to tune myself into certain frequencies. I cleanse my space with sound. I prepare myself energetically for channeling.

I also prepare my cards and ask Spirit which decks I am being called to use for that particular client.

And then there is your intake form.

I tell my clients all the time that the intake form is one of the most important parts of working with me.

I don't need every tiny detail of your story.

I need the narrative, but even more importantly, I need the emotions.

Tell me what is happening, but tell me how it feels.

The more emotion and feeling I have to connect with, the easier it becomes for me to understand what is happening energetically. It helps me connect with you and, when applicable, the other person involved.

It's almost like opening the door to my abilities for a few minutes and giving me a place to begin.

From there, I take my time connecting with Source, Spirit, my Higher Self, and the guides I personally connect with within my spiritual practice.

This isn't something I want to rush through.

I Know My Own Energy

Another reason I don't offer live readings is actually very simple.

I know myself too well.

I am highly intuitive and empathic, which means I absorb a lot of energy through emotions and feelings.

Because of the amount of client work I do, I have practices in place to bring myself back to my own energy. I take salt baths. I use protection sprays. I practice energetic protection. I use sound and other techniques to tune myself back to myself after connecting with clients.

That does not mean one client's energy affects another client's reading. I intentionally reset myself.

But I also know that doing live reading after live reading would leave me exhausted and require much more energetic resetting.

Having a little bit of distance between myself and the client actually helps me work better and also allows me to reach more of the collective which is why I do what I do.l

So yes, I like there being a small veil between us.

It allows me to feel what I need to feel without becoming overwhelmed by everything happening in real time.

I Want Spirit To Lead The Reading

This is probably one of the biggest reasons I prefer pre-recorded readings.

I don't want to lead the reading.

And I don't want the client to lead it either.

I want Spirit to lead.

During a live reading, there can naturally be reactions. There can be questions. There can be interruptions. There can be a desire to immediately understand something before the entire message has even had the opportunity to unfold.

Sometimes we need to slow down.

Sometimes I need to pull a card, sit with it, feel what is coming through, pause, and then continue.

Sometimes another message comes forward that changes how I understand the card sitting in front of me.

I want that space.

A pre-recorded reading gives me the freedom to pause when I need to pause. It gives me time to make sure I am understanding a message correctly before delivering it to you.

I don't want to jump quickly from card to card simply because we're live.

I am only the messenger.

I want to put myself to the side as much as possible and allow Spirit to become the focus.

Receiving Instead Of Reacting

I also believe there is something beautiful about receiving your reading privately.

When you're watching your reading by yourself, you don't have to think about me watching your reaction.

You don't have to immediately respond.

You don't have to explain yourself.

You can just listen.

You can be open, allowing, and reflective instead of immediately reactive.

And sometimes, that is exactly what a spiritual message needs.

Space.

You can pause your reading. You can journal. You can sit with something that made you uncomfortable. You can listen again tomorrow.

You can return to the reading weeks later and hear something differently because you are different.

That is one of my favorite things about pre-recorded readings.

Your reading becomes something you can return to instead of something that disappears when an appointment ends.

It gives you more opportunity to process Spirit's messages and, more importantly, integrate them into your life.

Because receiving the message is only part of the work. What you do with it matters too.

Pre-Recorded Does Not Mean Less Personal

I think one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding pre-recorded readings is that they are somehow less personal.

I completely disagree.

There is so much love, energy, intention, and spiritual preparation that goes into every reading I do.

I open myself deeply to Spirit for my clients.

I take my time.

I pay attention.

I strive to deliver something that actually has value for the person receiving it.

Could there be readers who don't put that level of energy into pre-recorded readings? Of course.

But that isn't me.

My readings are incredibly personal to the individual receiving them. The fact that we aren't sitting face-to-face on a video call doesn't change the amount of care I put into your experience.

If anything, the distance allows me to give you more of myself because I can work in the environment where my abilities feel the strongest.

And If You Prefer Live Readings, That's Okay

I also want to make something very clear.

If you prefer live readings, please choose what feels right for you.

There is nothing wrong with knowing how you like to receive spiritual guidance.

Not everyone is for me, and I am completely okay with that.

I am here for my soul clients.

The people who are meant to work with me understand the way I work and see the value in what I offer.

I see their value. They see mine.

I honor the energy they bring to me, and they honor the energy I pour into their experience.

That reciprocal energy exchange is incredibly important to me.

So if you're specifically looking for a live reading experience, I genuinely encourage you to find a reader whose abilities and reading style align with what you're looking for.

And if the way I work speaks to you, then maybe you have found the right space.

At the end of the day, my reason is actually very simple:

I don't offer live readings because that isn't how my abilities work at their best.

And when someone trusts me with their energy, their heart, and their story, I don't want to give them a version of me that is simply convenient.

I want to give them my best.
